Three new students of the Hall, Jesuits all from different parts of the world, matriculated into the university recently. The matriculation ceremony is one of Oxford's oldest traditions, wherein students' membership at the University is confered and confirmed by the Vice-Chancellor. Rev'd James Campbell, SJ, Campion Hall's Dean of Degrees, presented the matriculands to the Vice-Chancellor during a ceremony at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford. There the Vice-Chancellor welcomed them with a short oration, while the students swore the Bodlean Oath, promising to obey the rules of the Unviersity library!
Campion Hall's Michaelmas 2016 matriculands included Rev. Chris Krall, SJ from America studying towards the MSt in theology & science; Rev. Dr Markus Dreher from Germany studying towards the MSt in the philosophy of physics; and Rev. Willin Buitrago Arias, SJ from Colombia, who's starting an MPhil in politics, focusing on comparative government.
The Hall wishes them the very best on their future studies!
