Originally from Danbury, CT (USA), Kieran Raval studied political philosophy and theology at Georgetown and is now pursuing graduate studies in theology at Oxford. His academic interests include virtue ethics, the philosophical and theological thought of Josef Pieper, civil society, and the intersection of theology and political philosophy. Before coming to Oxford, he was an Associate Consultant with American Philanthropic, LLC, a fast-growing boutique consulting firm dedicated to 'strengthening civil society.' As American Philanthropic's Brand Ambassador, Kieran continues to grow brand awareness and assist with business development while at Oxford. He enjoys traveling, punk rock, learning Italian, renaissance polyphony, bourbon, grappling with Tocqueville's 'Democracy in America,' cooking, hiking, and reading.
