New Senior Research Fellow in Linguistics

Sarah Ogilvie
The Hall is delighted to welcome Dr Sarah Ogilvie, who is joining us as a Senior Research Fellow in Linguistics. She will also act as Dean of Welfare and Tutor for Women. Sarah is a linguist, lexicographer, and computer scientist working at the intersection of technology and the humanities.

Sarah says:

"I am honoured to be joining the Campion Hall community, and look forward to engaging with students in my role as Dean of Welfare and, when the time comes, as Tutor for Women. I attended Jesuit and Sacre Coeur schools in Australia, and the Ignatian spirituality that I learned in these environments has sustained me throughout my life. I am a Senior Research Fellow in the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics. Before coming to Oxford, I taught at Stanford, Cambridge, and Australian National University, and also spent many years as an editor on the Oxford English Dictionary. In 1999 – 2000, I took a year out of lexicography and academia to work for the Jesuit Refugee Service International Office in Rome."
