(External Event) Henry VII Cope on display at Hampton Court
Please note: This external exhibition ends on 5 September.
The Henry VII Cope, preserved by the Society of Jesus at Stonyhurst throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, is currently on display at Hampton Court for their Field of Cloth of Gold anniversary. The Cope is the sole survivor from a set of twenty-nine extremely costly and prestigious cloth-of-gold and red silk damask velvet copes commissioned by Henry VII for Westminster Abbey in the late 15th century. This extraordinary exhibition is well worth a visit and will be open until 5 September.

In a collaboration with Stonyhurst, Campion Hall, and Jesuits in Britain, the Henry VII Cope will be travelling to the US in 2022 to a series of venues linked with the treasures of the Tudor Court. Campion Hall will be planning a number of events for friends and alumni in the US during the tour.
