About the speaker: Mark Thompson

Educated at Stonyhurst and Merton College, University of Oxford, Mark Thompson is a British media executive who is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ancestry, the largest for-profit genealogy company in the world. He is also the former President and Chief Executive Officer of the New York Times Company, and former Director General of the BBC (2004 - 2012).
