
Celebrating Graduation
Campion Hall, the Jesuit home and centre for research and learning at the University of Oxford, was pleased to celebrate the graduations of seven students this weekend.
The successful completion of three doctorates and four masters degrees demonstrates the range of scholarly interests at Campion Hall including research in political science, criminology and criminal justice, architectural history, geography and environment, Latin American Studies, as well as the New Testament, and analytic philosophy.
The Master of Campion Hall, Rev Dr Nick Austin SJ, said, ‘I congratulate all of our graduating students. The University of Oxford is one of the world’s great universities and we are very pleased to be able to offer a home at Campion Hall for scholars from around the world as they undertake research and studies at the highest level. It’s particularly pleasing that this group of students shows the wide a range of scholarly interests that can be accommodated here at Campion Hall.’
Speaking about their time at Campion Hall the new graduates mentioned the warm community and hospitality, conversations over meals, appreciation for being able to access such a high-quality education, hospitality, and support for international fieldwork.
Campion Hall is one of four Permanent Private Halls in the University of Oxford, with a base in the heart of the city, accommodation and support for postgraduate students, and the ability to welcome students across a wide range of academic disciplines especially in the social sciences and humanities, as well as in religious studies, theology and philosophy.
