Senior Research Fellow Professor John Barton’s A History of the Bible is getting a radio adaptation with a five-episode series to be broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Read by Hugh Bonneville, the episodes will be aired over the course of one week, with the first episode, “Ancient Book, Modern World”, coming out on Monday 28 December, 9.45am.
Last April, the Hall celebrated the launch of A History of the Bible. Since its publication the book has been highly received and was awarded the 2019 Duff Cooper Prize.
