Professor Vincent Gillespie, FBA (11 February 1954–13 March 2025)

It is with great sadness that we report the news that Vincent Gillespie died at home on 13 March 2025, accompanied by his family.

Professor Vincent Gillespie, FBA, was Senior Research Fellow in Medieval English Literature at the Hall since his appointment in 2013. 

He will be missed as a good friend of many in the Hall.
