About

Luca Uggias is an Italian born, London-based composer. He graduated with full marks in Composition at the C. Pollini Conservatorium of Music of Padua, and in Piano at the G. P. Da Palestrina Conservatorium of Music of Cagliari.

He has written works for theatre and dance and his chamber, choral, orchestral and electronic musical pieces have been performed in various parts of the UK, Italy, Germany and China/Taiwan. He composed original music for the Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art of Rome and for the Berklee College of Music of Boston; his music has been published by the musical publishing house Feniarco.

As a pianist he has performed extensively in Italy, Germany, the UK, France, China/Taiwan, in prestigiuos venues such as the Shanghai Mao Livehouse and Les Invalides in Paris.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with Summa Cum Laude from  Gregorian University (Rome), he lived in China for three years, where he worked and studied Chinese language and literature at Fu Jen Catholic University (Taipei) and UIBE (Beijing). He then moved to the UK, where he currently works and resides
